Freeforums does come with a shoutbox type thing, but it's incredibly irritating as it's forced on to every user of the forums. I'll investigate chat options and see what we can come up with. Will update you guys tonight, Aussie time.

I confess that I'm at a loss about what to do with the chatroom. Most of the options I see involve signing up for an external client, which means that you would need to log in twice, and then we might have problems such as people posing as other people... I would love to install flashchat as used in INFPgc.. maybe I will be able to find some server space somewhere (*looks sideways at partner in crime*).. Otherwise, any suggestions are welcome.

Ah I see...You need a server for flashchat? I'd offer but I'm under a hardware firewall, which is not controlled by myself, and am sharing my internet resources with other people so I can't do any server hosting like that.
