The story I linked to is, I thought, pretty good, and actually seems plausibly non-fiction (and for all I know it might be). It's long, but worth it if you enjoy creepy stories. I actually don't particularly care for creepy stories, but I found this one engrossing.

I was just thinking "gee this guy read too much Lovecraft" when I get to "I know this sounds like something out of a Lovecraft story." He built up suspense good but then it turned kind of bleh.
