Usual stuff; favourites?, what are you watching now?, yadda yadda. Some of my favourites:The Wire (genius, one of the best TV shows ever made IMO). Babylon 5 (how can you not like a show that has a five year story arc? ). All the Star Treks apart from Enterprise. Dexter Sleeper Cell (It was everything that 24 should have been). John from Cincinnati (only one season? ). Breaking Bad The Simpsons (up to about season 8 anyway). Red Dwarf The Mysterious Cities of Gold Dogtanian and the Three Muskehounds Belle and Sebastian Azumanga Daioh! Fullmetal Alchemist Cowboy Bebop Dragonball Z (most of it anyway, the prefect Cell saga was a snooze-festival). Tons of documentaries Various pro-wrestling shows (Yeah I like Sci-fi, what of it? ) Currently watching:Dexter (season 3) Flight of the Conchords (season 2) Various documentaries (including "South Pacific" on the BBC, where I found out about flesh-eating caterpillars! ).

They aren't amongst my favourites but I do like Eureka and especially House, House is just so great a character (and Hugh Laurie is so good at playing him) that I don't know how anybody could not like it. I tried getting into Fruits Basket a while back (watched the first episode), but TBH I just couldn't see what all the fuss was about. Death Note OTH, I've just started watching recently and I'm a total convert. It's awesome.

I was on IMBD and discovered that alot of people in Europe are baffled by it, so I was wondering what you thought. Personally I didn't have any problems with it, but I can see why some people did. Maybe I've just been exposed to enough "gangsta" culture stuff on the TV to have picked up an ear for it. Quote: TV that Stars watches:
-Pushing Daisies -Seinfeld -The Daily Show With Jon Stewart -The Colbert Report -Monty Python's Flying Circus -90s Cartoon Network -90s Nickelodeon -Aqua Teen Hunger Force -Sealab 2021 -Invader Zim -South Park -Futurama - Can't believe I forgot about Pushing Daisies! - I really should watch more Seinfeld. From the little I have seen and the lots I've heard about from a friend of mine who's a fan, it's right up my street. - Daily Show/Colbert Report. (I'm looking forward to seeing Conan in his new slot too). - Python's overrated. (Still pretty good though, have you seen Michael Palin's "Ripping Yarns"?). - The 1st season of Johnny Bravo and the first 2 or 3 seasons of Dexter's Laboratory were practically on infinite repeat in my house when I first stated watching them. - Like all of Adult Swim's stuff, the quality levels of those shows were all over the place, but the Sealab episode where they have to take the sub to save a couple of stranded researchers - one of which is trying to eat the other one - is pure class. - Tried getting into Zim once, but it didn't do anything for me. Maybe I should give it another go. - It's funny, out of all the animated sitcoms that turned up in the '90's I would have said that South Park would have the shortest life span, but IMO in terms of consistent quality it's outlasted all the others. - Futurama's best years are behind it IMO, but it's still a great show. PretendTheresPurpose wrote: I watch two shows. Seinfeld and Death Note. You could do worse. (Can't think of an appropriate smiley, use your imagination).

Thought I'd post an update seeing as Dexter and Flight of the Conchords both ended this week. Dexter was typically good, though not as good as the first series I thought. The inclusion of the ghosts/inner visions didn't really add anything to it, and I would have liked to have seen a more climactic finale, but I really liked the interaction between Dexter and Jimmy Smits' character, and Dexter's sister seemed less annoying than in previous seasons. I thought this series of Flight of the Conchords was just as good as the first in terms of its humour, but the songs didn't seem as catchy this time around, and the way they set some of them up seemed pretty awkward sometimes. But apart from that it was great, can't wait for the third series (if there is one). Currently watching: Chuck (season 2) Reaper (season 2) Ugly Betty (season 3) Chowder ( this show) And I've also started watching a new show that airs on channel 4 over here in the UK called "You Have Been Watching". It's nominally a quiz show, but really it's just an excuse for Charlie Brooker and whoever he's got on that week to rip the piss out of the previous week's TV. We're only two episodes in, but so far it's been hilarious. EDIT: Also currently watching season 3 of "A Town Called Eureka".

DefectiveCreative wrote: Tons of documentaries ...And here's some of my favourites. The World at War The Theory of Everything The Mark Steel Lectures The Power of Nightmares Time (w/ Michio Kaku) Guns, Germs & Steel Around the World in 80 Faiths The Story of Maths The Cell There're probably others, but I can't remember them right now. Documentaries I'm currently watching include "Life" on the BBC (which is of the typically high standard I've come to expect from BBC wildlife documentaries) and the new series of Horizon, also on the BBC (which so far have been typically mind-expanding). ---------- Season 2 of Chuck ended this week, so I figured it was as good a time as any to pass my superior judgement over what I've been watching and update my "currently viewing" list while I'm at it. I thought Chuck was pretty good, but I'm not sure about the way they ended this series, I hope they haven't messed with the basic formula too much for the third series to work. Reaper was fun, and unlike Chuck the way they ended the series really had me interested in where they were going to take things next. So typically, the show's been canned and there's not going to be a third series. Oh, and A Town Called Eureka was also pretty decent , though it's seems to be starting to suffer from a bit of "same old, same old"-itess. ----------- Currently watching Flashforward (which is pretty intriguing so far), Season 2 of Fringe (which I'm enjoying, though I'm disappointed the idea of "The Pattern" didn't last very long), and Stargate: Universe (which I'm liking quite a lot so far, I love how different the feel of the show is from the other Stargate series).

I don't watch too much TV, and can't say that I follow any serial shows now a days (except maybe for animated comedies...but even those don't get regular viewing lately), but I am kinda excited about the upcoming re-envisioning of The Prisoner, with James Caviezel and Ian McKellen. I recently finished watching the original series and thought it was very good. The ads I've seen for the new series look interesting.
I was also going to watch the new V (mini series?). The first episode was on last night, but there was also a hockey game on so...well...hockey won out.

Some of my current favourites. I seem to have swung largely away from drama -- interesting:
Dexter (the exception!) The Big Bang Theory (Sheldon kills me!) Intervention and/or Hoarders on A&E (I have some hoarding tendencies) The Daily Show and the Colbert Report 'Til Debt Do Us Part (sort of my focus this week: I got out of some student-related debt this year!) What Not to Wear (when they're being nice) MythBusters and Oprah's formulas are starting to wear thin on me occasional stand-up comedy Canada's Worst Driver I'm trying out Flowers Uncut tonight. The designer's kind of adorable.

DC i haven't seen a good documentary since jesus camp, where do you find those? do i have to... pay money? :/ I had a quick look and it seems like most of them are on youtube. The only exceptions were "Around the World in 80 Faiths" which seems to only be on there in bits and pieces, and The "Theory of Everything", which I could only find this little clip from. There is a series on the subject presented by Stephen Hawking on there though, but I don't know if it's any good or not. Oh, and if you want to watch "The Cell" search for "The Cell BBC" or something like that, otherwise you'll never find it.
