Tonight at my writing group the facilitator had us play with similes reminding us they can either compare similar items or opposites. Here are a few to play with: As clear as.... As white as... As hungry as... As mad as... As lethal as... As stubborn as... As naked as... Pick a favorite or try them all.  I'll spare you my signature blue font so it's easier to cut and paste.
