Hi everyone,

I remember a while back there were concerns about privacy on the forum, and as a result we disabled bot access from the 'INFPverse community' section.

However, the result is that we are now less relevant on search engines when someone searches for INFP forums--this is because lots the the INFP-specific content occurs in this forum (naturally).

So I'd like to ask how our members feel about allowing the bots (though not unregistered guests) to access parts of the 'INFPverse community' forum.

I am considering making the 'Into the INFPverse' subforum accessible by bots. This will make a probably the biggest difference difference to our search rankings. The biggest difference will still be quite small however, as we only have a modest number of posts in that forum at the moment.

Hopefully this will create a good balance between your privacy (the blog threads and showcase will not be accessible by bots) and our searchability.

Please let me know your thoughts and if there are any big objections so that I can consider them.

I think the Photos Thread should remain unaccessible to the bots, or we might end up having our photos cached by Google! Maybe it could be part of the showcase subforum?

Good point. I'll move that on over to the showcase. Maybe "Showcase-worthy things", as INFPs (and their associates) are definitely showcase-worthy. :D
