Be careful with this one because it's easy to hit the wrong button (or at least I've managed to lose posts using this, so at least select all your text, and copy and paste before you hit 'submit', just in case).

I have no idea! All I know is that I've managed to do it twice already.

I'd like to make a request. I wish there was a thanks button. So I could thank posts and posters I really appreciate. Sometimes I don't have anything to add, or don't have time, and don't want to mess up a thread with a YEah sciski I agree with you, but would like to thank a poster. Just an idea. Thanks.

The INFJ forum has an option which is along the same lines as what you're talking about, they call it a "reputation" system over there. It's like the regular PM system except that it's designed purely for short little "Nice Post!" style responses, so in a way I guess it's the Twitter of the Private Message world.

loverainthunder, that's a very nice idea... I guess taking DC's social media interpretation, it's a bit like the 'like' button on Facebook.

Yes, the INFJ forum has it--it's a vBulletin feature. Freeforums does offer a 'reputation' feature, but it's in advanced (ie, non-free) hosting, so we don't have this feature unless we're planning on paying for this forum (paying?? Nooooooooooooo! ).

For the time being, maybe using PMs is the way to go.. and I don't think people mind you posting an 'I agree' or a 'thanks' on their threads.
