I wish I could access the 'new posts' and 'active posts' buttons from within advance search functions, within any thread, and from ones personal control panel. Would this be possible? Actually having them on every page would be great - like the 'view your posts' one.

Even without that I think you're doing a GREAT job running this place!

Perhaps it is the board template you are using? I use Hermes Green and the "view new posts" and "view active topics" buttons are always available at the top of the page.

I'll experiment - I'm using 'proglass' with the hopes that it is not as heavy to load to dial-up as some of the others. It might be worth it just the same. Thanks1

Thanks Bailiwick, and Gin for your suggestion. :)

Do you mean that the 'New Posts' and 'Active Topics' links aren't appearing on every page? Their placement can be different depending on the skin you're using. I wasn't aware that they weren't appearing at all on certain skins. Unfortunately as this is a free forum, I can't access more specific controls such as modifying individual skins.

BTW, I've put in a request for a mobile/smartphone-friendly skin at freeforums.org, which could help with forum loading times for dial-up connections. They say it's in the works, but currently not a priority, so we won't know when it's available. I'll be sure to install it once it becomes available though. :)
