I find it really relaxing to look out of windows. Be it in a room or a vehicle.
In a room which is 2 storys or higher i just find it fascinating to just stare outside. In a boring classroom situation its a way to keep my sanity. Same goes for vehicles. I always try and get a window seat.

In vehicles, definitely. Far more interesting than staring at the back of a seat. :-D
In buildings though, I guess it depends on what's going on in the room I'm in.

Of course it's fun for me. When I have to be inside somewhere, you can always count on me to be looking out the window. What's happening outside is fascinating because it feels like anything could be possible at that moment. But I don't think this is an INFP thing. I mean who doesn't enjoy a lovely view?

When I'm in the car, I do, but often drift into my own thoughts... then I have to shake myself and tell myself to enjoy the view!

I was a nerd who found school very interesting, but once we hit university, we were put in lecture halls with no windows. I'm sure I would have stared out the window otherwise, or had fun passing notes or doodling.

*sigh* no windows either in grad school... no opportunity to engage my highly distractable Ne... - :-D

When I'm in a new building I like to look out the windows, just to see what the view looks like. I'd rather be outside though than sit in a room and stare out of a window.

I am now on the first floor of a university library and looking out of the windows at the trees.

I love looking out windows. We have a gorgeous big picture window in the living room and I like to sit there and look out at the maple tree in the yard. And I am a cashier and when things start getting testy, I check out and stare out the windows.

i always sit right next to the window in my stats class, because quite frankly, its mind-numbingly boring. my school is kind of at the top of a hill, so since it gets dark early now i can look out and see the city lights laid out, and its a pretty gorgeous view.

i also really like looking out the window when i am on the bus because its like i am an outsider peering into the world... i've noticed that it actually changes my perspective on things to look from a bus going by... its good times.

Definitely! I love travelling on busses and trains just so I can stare out of the window and watch the view outside change, especially when going through the country side. I usually lose myself in my thoughts too, like Sciski, so the images going past probably have a meditative quality.

I could ride on a bus for hours as long as I was sitting comfortably and was beside a window.
