I somehow got hooked on How I Met Your Mother - for a formula sitcom, it's pretty good! I'm halfway through Season 3, and I think I've got the characters figured:
Ted: INFJ (seems INTJ at times, but the plot keeps returning to his idealism about love, and he makes decisions using Ni) Barney: INFP (stuck in ENTJ-mode) Robin: ESTJ Lily: ISFP Marshall: ENTP

Anyone here ever read "House Of Leaves"? Part urban legend, part love story, part philosophical quest and completely avant-garde in its style. Highly recommended.
Johnny Truant: ISTP (7) Zampano: INFP (4) Will Navidson: ENFP (7) Karen Green: ISFJ (6) Tom Navidson: ISFP (9) Billy Reston: ESTJ (8) Holloway: INTJ (8) Wax: ISTP (7) Jed: INTP (5) Johnny's Mother: (unknown because of mental illness)

Babylon 5: John Sheridan - ESTJ Delenn = INFP (maybe INFJ) Lennier = INTP Jeffrey Sinclair = ESFJ? Michael Garibaldi = ISTP Londo Molari= ESTP (maybe ENTP) Susan Ivanova = ISTJ G'kar = ENFJ Kosh - loldunno Dr. Franklin - INFJ Marcus - ENFP Bester - ENFJ? Mr. Morden - ISTP? Vir Cotto - ISFJ Zack Allen - ESFP? Fraser wrote: Barney: INFP (stuck in ENTJ-mode) From what I've seen of the show Barney seems like a natural extrovert to me, I think maybe he's an ENTP trying to be an ESTP.

crystaluniverse wrote: How about an idealistic ESFP? I meant "Idealist" in the Keirsey-an sense. Just because she works at a fashion magazine doesn't make her an SP ya know. Heck, it's a running gag through almost all of the show that she has no fashion sense. Seriously though, don't forget her role in the company (apart from being Daniel's dogsbody) is as a features writer/editor, and all the features she wants to write are intended to highlight some kind of issue. They're never really about the fashion itself, that's just the angle she uses to get her stuff printed. Plus her whole character is that of a "quirky outsider struggling to get by in world she doesn't really understand". If she was an ESFP she'd understand something as Se focussed as a fashion magazine just fine.

I didn't say she was dowdy (she's anything but), she just has her own style that everybody she meets in the fashion industry thinks is horrendous. An ESFP would be far too fashion aware to keep making the kind of fashion faux pas' she makes every single day. And no, she's a definite extrovert (and tbh I'm not sure why you're fighting me on this one. She's an ENFP, deal with it. ).
