I don't do personality tests anymore. I know too much about MBTI to be objective.

1) XNXP

E 7 I 7
S 3 N 11
T 7 F 7
P 11* J 3

2) ENTP

*My P is unusually high right now. Too many options, too little time. I'm fugue-ing due to a very stressful 2009.

I know what you mean. I still take them, but I always wonder if I am fooling myself in one way or another. Am I answering more accurately because I know what they're getting at? Less so? Is there more value in an informed answer or a naive answer? Might I have a reason to want to claim a preference not truly my own? Is it even worthwhile to try to guess at what I would have answered if I hadn't read so much?

That said, I got INTJ on the first and INFP on the second. I do try to answer candidly, without consciously gaming the test.

E 2 I 12
S 3 N 11
T 12 F 2
P 1 J 13

INTJ was my original score on the Keirsey and I tend to identify most with that profile. INTP is very close but no cigar. Reading INFP profiles is like visiting a beautiful country in which I try hard to understand the customs and sort of wish I were a native but ultimately feel rather awkward.

I like the Thomson-Maidenbaum test better than others I've taken. I get a slightly different score each time I take it, but not so different as to change my type result. I'm almost finished with Lenore Thomson's book at the moment.

I took that second one: INFJ.
You're right, tehBelle, it is weird.
Spoiler:
What's up with two things per answer?

I had such a hard time on the first question of the first quiz that I had to stop before I drove myself mad. I was so in the middle.
On the second one I got INTP, which didn't surprise me because I know exactly what question threw me off a letter.
Spoiler:
I focus on the values close to my heart yeah, but I don't focus on responsibilities at ALL. I suppose it's because at the moment I have very few responsibilities.

I think it's based on functions. The first question, for example, is asking whether you have Ne and Si or Se and Ni.

I thought it would be good to take the first test again. My results are fairly consistent in that I score as a an EN type on this test each time I take it.

Quote:
Your TMPI answers suggest that your type preference is:

ENFP

E 8 I 6
S 4 N 10
T 5 F 9
P 12 J 2

The first two times I took it, I scored as an ENTP. ENFP sounds more like me now. I've been keenly aware of how Feeling has overtaken Thinking these past couple of years.
